Live & Recorded Online Training Sessions – Frequently Asked Questions

What is live online training?

• Live on-line training is an interactive and informative session viewed on your computer with the audio over the telephone.  Most of Prism’s live on-line sessions range from 60 to 70 minutes in length depending on the content.  Attendees can pose questions during the session in the question and answer period at the end.  The training sessions are available at scheduled times only.  The training sessions are delivered via “webinars” which are seminars on the Internet – online training session = webinar.

How does live online training work?

• After registering for a training session, you will receive a registration confirmation e-mail. The e-mail will include the session information and instructions, the toll free phone number, and the link to the training session (webinar). A reminder email will be sent one day prior to the session with the same information.

• Prior to the training session start time, call the toll free number and click the "webinar" e-mail link for the session. The Internet connection will start and you will be placed into the session at the “Prism Welcome Page.”

What is a recorded online training session?

• A recorded online training session is an online course viewed on your computer using Windows Media Player. Prism’s recorded online training sessions range from 45 to 70 minutes in length, depending on the content. The online training sessions are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How do the recorded online sessions work?

• Immediately after your registration and payment have been confirmed, you will see a link to the training session on your screen. Click on the link, confirm your information, and select “view webinar.”
• The training session will then begin.You can pause, fast forward, and rewind the training session to view the content in depth. Support documents are included with the training and will be sent to you via email.

How is the content covered?

• The training content is covered in detail with demonstrations and examples presented using the Simply Accounting by Sage software, processes are covered step-by-step. All Prism instructors are Simply Accounting by Sage – Certified Consultants, with years of hands-on training and business experience.
